CHENNAI: Two water treatment plants have been set up on the Madras Christian College campus at a cost of Rs 10 lakh.
The plants, unveiled on Thursday, were set up to dissuade the students from drinking too much aerated drinks, a release from the college said.
The plants using the reverse osmosis technology are capable of purifying 500 litre water per hour.
They will reduce the wastage of water on the campus since they make use of water from washrooms.
